Here's how to use the chart: If you're attacking, work from your type on the left to the enemy type on the top. If defending, do the opposite - find your type on the top and work left to the attacker list.
A 1x indicates an attack will do standard damage based on your Pokemon and the move's stats. A 2x indicates a Super-effective move - it'll do double the normal amount of damage. A 0 indicates a Not effective move, which won't do any damage at all. The Super Effective Vs. The Not Very Effective Vs. Immunities are also listed here - they're always last, and are denoted by brackets. The Resist Damage column shows you what moves won't be very effective against the Pokemon type on the left when it is defending.
The Weak Vs. A single Pokemon may have either one or two types, depending on the species. Moves may deal normal damage, extra damage or reduced damage. Click the chart to enlarge it. Email This BlogThis! Labels: Pokemon Go , Types.
Newer Post Older Post Home. All Move Types. Type 1. Type 2. Pokemon can change types as they evolve or change forms, but each iteration of a Pokemon has a maximum of two types at any given moment. For example, Pupitar is a rock-ground dual-type Pokemon but evolves into Tyranitar, which is rock-dark. The ground typing is dropped entirely on Tyranitar.
Similarly, Gyarados is water-flying type but Gyarados can mega evolve into Mega Gyarados. It does not become a water-flying-dark Pokemon. The best typing in Pokemon is likely dark-ghost dual types, with Sableye and Spiritomb falling into this category.
The typing has just one weakness in fairy, and is immune to fighting, normal, and psychic attacks. Offsetting that very advantageous typing is the fact that Sableye has very low stats and Spiritomb has a limited arsenal of attacks.
From a lore and story perspective, Arceus is akin to a god-like character in Pokemon. Weavile has the highest tied speed stat for any dark-type Pokemon, along with the legendary Pokemon Darkrai that was introduced in the same generation. Steel-type Pokemon is another typing that was introduced after the first generation of Pokemon games, making its debut in Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver. The introduction of steel-type Pokemon came with the Metal Coat item which allowed a couple of first generation Pokemon to evolve.
Both Onix and Scyther are Pokemon that players can evolve when they are traded holding the Metal Coat item. Onix and Scyther will evolve into Steelix and Scizor, respectively, but it's also just as important to trade them back to the game players want them in. Otherwise, they may be missing from the pokedex. Fairy-type Pokemon are the most recent type added to the series. Debuting in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, the type was used as an instant counter to the strong dragon-type Pokemon. With only two weaknesses and an immunity to dragon-type moves, while being super effective against dragons, fairy-type Pokemon quickly found spots on many teams.
The introduction of fairy-type Pokemon also saw several existing Pokemon have their typing changed, to either be or include fairy-type. Pokemon Sword and Shield are available now for Switch.
